In November 2006, Brayton signed an MOU with Capstone Turbine Corporation and Agile Turbine to co-develop an advanced vehicular gas turbine engine. Capstone is the world’s leading microturbine manufacturer with approximately 4000 units delivered. Agile Turbine is a corporation formed by Robin Mackay, the original founder of Capstone. Brayton is currently receiving funding from the US Department of Defense to design the advanced gas turbine engine.
