Building on two decades of successful microturbine development, Brayton Energy is designing an ultra-light-weight turbo-shaft gas turbine engine for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The compact recuperated gas turbine will generate nominally 80 kW / 100 hp of shaft power. This product will complement our ongoing product development for another small engine sponsored by the Air Force Research Labs at Wright Patterson.
